Approving national programs and initiatives related to occupational safety and health in coordination with relevant government authorities.
The program aims to qualify, train, and develop the competencies of human resources in the field of occupational safety and health through two tracks: Practitioner and Professional. Participants receive a Council-accredited certificate enabling them to practice the profession of occupational safety and health.

The National Council offers 22 awareness and training programs free of charge through its platform. Some of these programs are translated into 8 different languages to raise and enhance workers’ awareness of occupational safety and health requirements across various sectors.

This decision comes within the framework of preserving the safety and health of workers and protecting them from potential health risks, and providing a healthy and safe work environment according to international occupational safety and health standards. It is effective from 15 June to 15 September 2025, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

It is a comprehensive framework for assessing the physical and mental fitness of employees/workers to ensure their ability to perform their job tasks efficiently through pre-employment and periodic examinations based on the type of occupation, associated risks, and accompanying symptoms. The regulation also aims to enhance workplace prevention, improve quality of life, and promote the general health of workers, positively impacting their safety, performance, and productivity.
Sensitive occupations (high-risk professions) constitute approximately 10–12%, totaling 222 occupations from the unified Saudi occupational classification. These include some service occupations, such as transportation, industrial, construction, or operational jobs, including operating heavy equipment like cranes, among others. Special occupational medical examinations are required according to the nature of the occupation, risks, and work-related symptoms, whether chemical, physical, biological, or psychosocial.
The responsibilities of an organization include providing a safe work environment, training employees on safety requirements, reporting accidents or injuries, complying with regulations and rules, and cooperating with the Council or relevant authorities during investigations or periodic inspections.

The program also includes qualifying and training investigators to enhance resources and capabilities in this field.
